'It's an equality issue,' says healthworker and Northern Ireland pro choice campaigner Maura McKenna.

'It's not even a church issue. I wouldn’t have an abortion, and I wouldn’t like to think that I’d have an abortion, but it’s the fact that you haven’t got the right to a choice... women in Northern Ireland have been waiting for 40 years.

'We have spent quite a number of years in Nothern Ireland with people trying to inflict their thoughts on us. The fact is that people have a right to choose.'

McKenna attends church regularly.
